I get questions about the stomach database. Is this a thing I should ask on the meting, or is it better to adress the data center directly?
@MalinWerner It depends :-) What is the question? If its a specific operational question its probably better to speak to the Data Centre directly. If its a broader question about the stomach database DIG might be better placed to discuss it.
@davidcurrie2001
My colleagues said that each country are supposed to re-upload all their data, as the data in the database is not there anymore. You can get access to the old data, if you ask for it, but not otherwise. Is this correct and how come this happened? (I cannot remember this from the information from the ICES data center, but perhaps I did not understand) And is the format different in the "new" stomach database?
Perhaps I should contact the person responsible. Do you know who to ask?
Best regards Malin
@MalinWerner there was a short update about the "SaNoBa" project: "Study on stomach content of fish to update databases and analyse possible changes in diet or food web interactions ICES contracted to set up, maintain and support a stomach database. Active dataflow, updating format, QC checks, updating stomach portal interface Portal, helpdesk and data support, bug fixes, etc" The main contact for the project was listed as Cecilia (along with Carlos, Eva, and Neil)
@davidcurrie2001 Would you like us to discuss the invitation from OBPS for ICES guidance to be endorsed and for ICES to pilot the process of endorsing other guidance? See information at the bottom of the page here https://www.oceanbestpractices.org/ocean-best-practices-systems/repository/
@cfpo - yes, I'll add it in to the agenda, thanks.
This is where the agenda for the online DIG meeting on 17th September will be defined.
