To help understand the benefits of centralizing large dataset we may want to list few scientific questions that we could answer at global scale.

e.g. Species shifting distribution (common for small pelagic fish species)

• Global biogeography of sound-scattering pelagic fauna (echobiomes)
• In conjunction with Trawl data: Attempting global biomass estimations
• Distribution of pelagic fauna in future scenarios of climate change
• Time series to monitor actual changes in pelagic ecosystems
