This aspect I think can be put as a lower priority currently, but essentially HOLAS and MSFD we can consider as one and the same here as the overall aim is that the HOLAS work is suitable for the countries to use for MSFD reporting (if they wish to). Under the MSFD, but also for scientific interest and HOLAS work, there is a need to show if there has been a change in status between period 1 and period 2 (e.g. HOLAS 2 and HOLAS 3). This would be good to show based on the overall status evaluations and if there are any changes in trends within the evaluations.

Thanks Owen - so the aim is the overall headline status and trend (for each matrix/determinand or group of determinands)
