Planned for June 2024, the icgc-dcc portal will reach end of life, and is being unpublished.

As part of that process, a deprecation notice should be published for the whole organisation (which can be achieved as described here by adding a profile/README.md file in a .github repo).

We also need to review and plan what repositories in this organisation to keep (archived), deleted, or relocated (to other orgs). To circle back on this, I've set a reminder in the dcc slack channel to review this ticket in May 2024.

After some research, GitHub offers an option to archive the organisation as a whole; with the caveat that it requires either an enterprise or free account. This means we'll have to "downgrade to free" once we're ready for it.
