Set focus to search input after hitting clear text button

I think the only reason to tap the clear text button in the search field is to enter a new search string. So the focus can be set to the search entry automatically. Right now I have to tap into the search field by hand after hitting clear text button.

Are you talking about the search field on the search page or the filter line in the top pulley menu of the folder view?

Search page. The X button in the filter line is not for clearing text but a “cancel button”, isn’t it?
