Can't load Plug-in #13

I am using Sketch Version 69 (107357) and what seems to be the latest version of the Iconify plugin (1.1.6) 16 July 2020. I am using this on a MacBook Air running mac OS Catalina v 10.15.5

I haven't had any issues with the plug-in until today. It will not load at all and throws the following message:

Loading icon finder... If this message does not disappear in several seconds, there was a problem loading scripts. Make sure you have working internet and restart Sketch.

I have tried re-installing the plugin several times as well as restarting Sketch and I have checked my internet connection!

Works fine for me. Using version 69.1.

Right click in plugin window, select "inspect element". It will show you Web Inspector. Switch to "network" tab. Probably you'll see some errors there.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did what you suggested....I couldn't see any errors? See attached... Screenshot 2020-10-20 at 16 30 34

Looks fine to me. This is weird. Can you check if updating to 69.1 fixes it?

marklythgoe71 commented 4 years ago

Scratch that...I have updated now to 69.1...still got the issue.... Screenshot 2020-10-20 at 16 37 12

very strange....If I hit the right click then 'Reload' it works fine.

marklythgoe71 commented 4 years ago

will load now and work fine...but only after a right click and 'reload'

Browser cache got messed up. It happens. In modern browsers it is very rare, but still does happen.

In network tab there is a small icon in right corner, next to trash icon. Click it, then reload page few times. It usually fixes Safari cache issues for me.

marklythgoe71 commented 4 years ago

I have tried that...hasn't worked. Do I need to do a full re-start of my Mac?

I've just published new version of plug-in. It doesn't change anything, just updates dependencies to make sure everything is up to date.

Maybe updating plugin will fix browser cache issue. If not, you can try clearing browser cache from Safari, but that will clear all cache so it is an overkill.

Finally got to experience this bug myself after updating to Big Sur, along with a different bug.

Fixed it in latest update. However, few other bugs showed up, most likely caused by Big Sur.

Released version 2.0.0 that fixes this. It is a full rewrite that has nothing in common with old plug-in.

New version is far from complete (I do want to convert some more stuff from Figma plug-in), but it has reached feature parity with old version and is stable, so it is ready for release.
