Highlighting Not working when within other control #762

I have a main window with a popup. The popup carries the AvalonEditor. Whenever I put the AvalonEditor within a control like a tab or a popup, the highlighting does not work anymore. It is as if it does not work within nested controls

Als it puts a thick black border around the control ;-(
