Player checker does not "check" #26

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start BW and BWHF
2. Go into a gamelobby
3. Press PrtSc

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to say something like it does on the screenshot of the player
checker tab in the wiki section:
"Game lobby screenshot detected, proceding to check"
Instead nothing happens

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version: 2.20 2009-04-21
Windows xp, service pack 3

Please provide any additional information below.
I can not get the program to check for hackers in the lobby.
Even if i see players in the lobby that i have added to the custom player
list, i do not get alerted when pressing PrtSc.
It takes a screenshot, bwhf detects the screenshot and converts it to jpeg,
but it does not appair to check the screenshot.

Hi!

Looks like your settings are correct. I tried the same with your setting, and
it
said: "custom at slot 1". It works for me.

The problem is that BWHF Agent does not recognize it's a game lobby screenshot.
Can u disable automatic pcx conversion on the pcx converter tab, and send me
your pcx
game lobby screenshot? Or just close BWHF Agent when u create the game lobby
screenshot, so it will now convert it.

I examine it once u attached it.
When u're done with this: one suggestion: try to set brightness in Starcraft
higher.
The player checker should work in all brightness setting.

Here are pcx screenshots of the lobby.
The first with the original brightness, and two more with higher gamma.

Increasing the gamma did not seem to fix my problem.

I am using a widescreen monitor (16:10)
Could that stretch the screenshot or somthing so that the program doesn't
recognise
the lobby?

With your screenshots, bwhf agent doesnt alert players. I'll look into it.

I tracked down the cause.
In your screenshot the frame around players and player slots is 1 pixel down
compared
to mine. I dunno why this is, but that frame is the one I check to decide if
screenshot is a game lobby screenshot.
In your case the frame is not detected at the expected location therefore it
does not
proceed to recognize player names.

Will fix this.

Good job man.
I really appreciate the effort you are putting into this program.
Looking foreward to the next version.

Btw. Is there a way i can set the program to automaticly update my custom
player
list when a hack is detected? So that i dont have to add every hacker manually.

Instead I give u a key, so when u find hackers, they get reported to the
central
hacker database, and they will be synchronized down back to your local hacker
list
cache. Let's meet on battle.net tomorrow to talk about it.
