What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Place or Receive a call via SIP
2. While phone is ringing (on either end) or after answering/connecting call,
use power button to turn off screen or wait for screen timeout for screen to
turn off on its own.
3. Use power button to wake screen. Then press power button again. Call gets
disconnected.
What is the expected output?
I expect the screen to turn off again. If I use the either of the volume keys
or the camera button to wake the screen, then hit the power button, the screen
turns back off.
What do you see instead?
The call gets disconnected - the green call box seems to slide to the left of
the screen (sipdroid only seems to take calls in landscape mode on my device)
then the red call end box appears at the bottom as if I've dragged it down to
end the call.
What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?
I'm using sipdroid 1.5.7 on a Dell Streak running Dell's O2 build 8105 -
Android 2.1
Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
I'm using sipgate. This happens whether I have sipdroid connected directly to
sipgate or through pbxes.
Which type of network are you using?
This occurs on Edge, 3G, and Wifi.
Please provide any additional information below.
In testing this, I found a workaround - using another key to wake the device.
The issue is that one gets into the habit of turning on the screen using the
power button so having sipdroid respond differently to subsequent button
presses will always be disconcerting and annoying when you terminate a call
unexpectedly.
