Just mentioning a SIP server or device that does not interoperate with
Sipdroid won't help much because the developers might not have that
particular setup on hands. So you will try to add a SIP or logcat trace
from your network/phone to make a fix at all possible.

Did you carefully read above? YES

If yes, please fill out the following form and provide all necessary
details.
If not, you may continue in the Forum where you can discuss your problem to
clear things up before filing an issue report.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.receive a call to your android will registered with sipdroid
2.press button on bottom of screen to pop up keyboard
3.press any key, and screen will freeze and you will lose the call, and
eventually after 10 seconds of being frozen, your phone reverts to the home
screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?

android 2.2, 1.6pre3 beta

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?

do not use PBXes, not needed when set up with Google Voice.. SIP server is
Gizmo5

Which type of network are you using?

WIFI

Please provide any additional information below.

You can get around the problem.. really only arises when using GV/Gizmo5 and
you receive a call. if you have on google voice the setting which states that
upon receiving a call, you have to press one to accept. if you turn that off,
then you pick up the phone just by sliding up and thats it, no need to open
keyboard. however, this is still a pretty major flaw that should be fixed!

forgive me if I mess this up. It's the first time I am submitting a bug.
Hopefully I give you all you need and if you need more and to test something, I
can help. here we go.

PROBLEM: When bringing up the sipdroid keypad during a call, sipdroid will
crash.

PHONE: AT&T Samsung Captivate
OS: 2.2, kernel 2.6.32.9 Cognition Beta 5.5
SIPDROID: 1.6 Beta, Same result with 1.5
SIP GATEWAY: FreePBX-Asterisks 2.8 "I control the PBX"
TESTED CONNECTION: wireless G. Home and company. nothing much to say here.

DETAILS: Attached is the log file of the phone from hitting the last number
into another extension "103" on my PBX, to the crash.

I make the call and all connects. Once I slide the keypad up, the phone becomes
unresponsive and buzzes once. After a few seconds it buzzes 2 times and the
sipdroid closes, while trying to leave the connection open. I say trying
becuase the PBX does close the connection just after that. To get sipdroid to
realize the call is done, I reopen and make a call again, then end it. Sipdroid
is ready again.

I see no issues with the PBX in the logs, the phone becomes unresponsive and
stops sending to the PBX, so the PBX closes the connection. This seems to be a
possible graphics issue with the program to this phone maybe.

What you think, and did I give enough for you. I would like to resolve this so
I can used my home PBX with my android.
