Proactively identify and reconcile differences with Bioregistry #219

The Bioregistry has had a prefix for EMPIAR (https://bioregistry.io/registry/empiar) for a while - it appear this was recently added to Identifiers.org, but curated in a different way that causes issues (specifically, the inclusion of redundant namespaces in identifiers).

It would be important for people relying on either Identifiers.org or Bioregistry for there to be consistency. Therefore, I would suggest cross-referencing with the Bioregistry when reviewing new prefix requests to identify issues, then to have community-based discussions on how to reconcile the differences if any exist.

Sure, it isn't a problem to consider bioregistry when curating new entries in identifiers.org but we will have to put the needs of users first. And we would greatly appreciate it if you find any redundancy in our registry and let us know.

Just to be sure, was there an issue with this prefix?

Thank you both for your amazing work on these two critical resources. I would add a +1 vote for a reconciliation effort to be made with Bioregistry when adding new prefixes to identifiers.org. Synchronization between these two resources will greatly help so many of us downstream!

Great, @cthoyt how do we proceed about this? Do we exchange emails on changes to the registry or would you rather this be done some other way?
