Examine extended fields in iDigBio for information about species interactions and relationships and store/add this data someplace.

maybe integrate with http://www.globalbioticinteractions.org/about.html

Sounds like a great project . . . I'd very much like to collaborate (and related) on this during the hack-a-thon. In a way this would help extract information from species collections similar project related to Katja Seltmann @seltmann (Tri-Trophic Networks / Digital Bees Network, see https://github.com/jhpoelen/eol-globi-data/issues/133 and https://github.com/jhpoelen/eol-globi-data/issues/126) and Michelle Koo @mkoo (Arctos, see https://github.com/jhpoelen/eol-globi-data/issues/134). I perhaps they can help point to some techniques or resources that would help us get started.

Although I won't be at the hackathon in person, I am keen to contribute. I could pull up our parasitoid data, 30k records so a smaller dataset. We have done a first pass at restructuring some of it...which means a dataset to compare results?

What amazes me about insect labels is how limited the vocabulary is (due to lack of space on label) but very subtle differences.

@seltmann I think it would be great to have a good test dataset . . . how can we best access this?
