Charlotte brought this up too but without a concrete use case. We (I) will take a look at what a QGIS plugin needs for data exchange before the hackathon to be prepared if someone wants to work on this or if it fits with someone else's project.

José also just mentioned today to Aimee and I that Nelson is interested in the QGIS plug-in. This is actually, what Aimee will be working on during the Hackathon. Maybe we can join forces. She already has a LifeMapper QGIS plug-in for the models that are being generated for the LifeMapper+iDigBio SPNHC demo. Stay tuned!

Would be great to have a QGIS plug-in so researchers can use it to visualize idigbio specimen locality data.
