nested config file not found

It appears it's not finding my config file in the following setup:

packages/
- client/
- node_modules/.bin/sass-lint
- package.json (has sass-lint)
- .sass-lint.yml

When I copy the config file to my project root it does pick up the rules.

does it work if you enter the path manually?
