Error unknown configuration key: '"iso_checksum_type"' #1

Running on Windows 10 Pro with VMWare Workstation Pro 16, Packer version 1.7.1

packer build cluster-builder-control.json cannot determine if process is in background: Process background check error: not implemented yet Error: Failed to prepare build: "vmware-iso"

Hey, I've sort of abandoned the project, Google is in decline, and approaching pure evil (ironically)... so I've abandoned K8s. AWS will likely re-release it under a new name anyway, it is all such a big pile of nonsense these days.

You may try checking the current packer spec, it is likely they changed the configuration key name in question.
