I would suggest the following additional changes beyond the simple translation to kramdown as part of this PR:
1) Align the order to the sections with the template
Implementation Status
Manageability Considerations
Security Considerations
IANA Considerations
2) Resolve 'lines too long' issues
check the line lengths of YANG code with pyang
wraps the lines in the the YANG tree files using RFC8792
3) change the dates of the YANG files to avoid clashes with the published YANG files
4) replace references to RFC8776 with references to RFC8776-bis I-D: see #15
