Location of the NE #87

This is where the location address would be. This will localize the positioning down to the first monitored level. So an NE that includes a rack would locate to the bay position (or similar) that the rack is in. and an NE that is a standalone equipment would locate to the position (on a pole, in a room on a wall or what ever.

As we discussed an NE may be a circuit pack (board) that plugs in a slot in a chassis/subrack/shelf where the NE does not monitor the chassis/subrack/shelf. In this case the location would go down to slot position in chassis in rack in bay in room etc.

In TAPI we chose to provide a very general approach... | | +--ro equipment-location? string | | +--ro geographical-location? string
