Is the management of SW upgrades (including patches) in the scope of IVY WG?

Is it in the scope of inventory model or of ALMO?

There was also a question about the management of SW upgrades (including patches): it is not fully clear whether this is in the scope of inventory model or of ALMO

This is agreed that Inventory base model must contain the versions for its SW/FW. The question arises how to manage its versions, its upgradation. As of now, the management of SW upgrade and/or its procedures - it's not part of both Inventory and ALMO. Again, Inventory model should be overloaded with SW management. At the same time, ALMO is a license/entitlement management architecture for all - SW/HW/NE/Solution/etc. It's different than SW upgrades/version management. IMO, We need to have a deep dive on overall SW/FW version management architecture, along with its recommendations.
