I would suggest a separate message to those folks letting them know publication had been requested? Though I think they would all get that because of the state change already.
Increasing the distribution of the message you point can lead to problems if someone does "reply-all". (The rfc-editor address isn't an automated feed into a ticketing system like the iesg-secretary address is, but it has, as I understand it, similar processing characteristics.)

Okay, that makes sense. In which case, can we change this proposal to just cc the sender of the request so they have a record?
It's disconcerting to not have any record of what was sent to the RFC Editor.

When I use the Request Publication option on an IRTF draft (e.g., on https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-irtf-icnrg-terminology/) the datatracker generates an email from me, as IRTF Chair, to the RFC Editor, updates the draft status, and so on. This is fine, but it would be helpful if it could cc me, the RG chairs, and the draft authors on the email too. Thanks! Colin
