Discussion in #6597 suggests removing the AD/Shepherd column from the search result tables.
The "Send Notices to" field is holding a string (not a reference to an Email object) that was set by pasting content at the time. We should script cleaning role-based addresses that have been pasted into them (probably by stripping them down to the address).
The Document shepherd field IS pointing to an Email object, and this further highlights that
having role-based addresses as datatracker Email objects vs aliases was not a great idea (it intersects badly with Email addresses being associated with one and only one Person).
it would be better for the Shepherd field to point to a Person rather than an Email address.
Repairing history when changes are made for the last bullet will be a chore.
Describe the issue
If you look at the datatracker page for ISE stream documents, you can see that it has an "AD/Shepherd" column. https://datatracker.ietf.org/stream/ise/
Or the AD/Shepherd field for individual RFCs: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc8734/
This lists "Eliot Lear" even for documents published before he became ISE.
Even more confusing, it says that you should email rfc-ise@rfc-editor.org and that that's Adrian
ISTM that the POC should be the current ISE but the AD/Shepherd should be who it was at the time.
Note that this is largely correct for IETF RFCs
