"Active IAB workshops" points to "Active IAB groups"? #7476

Describe the issue

When I click on "Others"->"Active IAB Workshops" it goes to this page: https://datatracker.ietf.org/iabworkshop/

However this page show the Active IAB groups and not the workshops.

Also, this is under "Others"->"Active IAB Workshops" but it should be under "IAB"->"Active IAB Workshops" or actually "IAB"->"Workshops" because the page should show both, past and current workshops...

The menu items currently point to active groups (across all the links there). If there were any active workshops they would show on the page currently linked.

We could, separately from the consideration of how to link to it from the menu system, build a page that showed all workshops, current and past. That's a new kind of view than we have currently in the datatracker.

When we have the view, we can figure out how to work it into the menu system.

Also issue #4327 is closed but I don't think the workshop group that is now in the datatracker supports handling of materials outside of the actually meeting session. As we discussed at some point we need this for papers. Therefore all workshops are still "teams" and have not been move to the actually "workshop" group. Do we need to reopen issue #4327 or open a new one? Or is that already under active work?

Hi Mirja - there won't be active work on this set of issues for a few weeks still. The focus through June is on finishing the infrastructure transition.

This issue should be sufficient to work from when we get to do that work. I'll review the group types and group type settings. I expect to make papers a document-type for the accepted papers for a workshop, and change the views to show them as group documents, but this will not likely be in place until late July at the earliest.

That's okay. We won't have any workshops before September. I was mostly wondering if we should re-open issue #4327 or open a new issue to track that?
