Font weights for headings draw your eye to the wrong place #240

On a normal web page the page title is set at h1 with a font weight of 400 and the text in the intro section under it with a weight of 300. Then for the body text, all the h2 headings have a much higher font weight of 600 and the body text has a weight of 400. The overall effect is to push the page title and intro text into the background, draw the eye to the first h2 heading (particularly as that is on a darker background) so that the intro is not read, and it makes the h2 headings seem harsh. My preference would be to drop the font weight of all the headings to 400, the size and font will differentiate them enough as headings. It would be nice also to drop the body text font weight to 300 but that might be too low contrast with the darker background. If lightening all the h2 and higher headings is not preferred then we could lift the font weight of h1 to 600. That has a more striking impact, is more consistent and doesn't draw your eye to the wrong place.
