Although this document has a section called "types of glue" it doesn't provide a proper definition of glue, and neither does the DNS terminology document.
This DNSOP thread includes a proposed definition and discussion, but is still unresolved.
One suggestion from that thread was to say "referral glue" to differentiate it from other types of glue that might be forthcoming. Current revisions of this draft use "referral glue" but there is also a suggestion to instead define glue narrowly to only mean IP addresses and let these forthcoming ideas come up with a new term that doesn't include "glue".
