You should speak with @graugans He builds libo3d3xx
using the yocto tools for the embedded builds that ship on-board the O3D camera itself. He is very knowledgeable/skilled and quite a friendly guy :)
To answer your questions directly: YES it is possible. Are you wasting your time? Not sure, @graugans already has this working, however, I am not sure how much of his work he is in position to share. Oh, I bet @cfreundl can help too.
@mikeNike9 it would be very nice to share my recipes. What version of yocto are you running? I'll send you all the stuff tomorrow when I am in the office.
I am runing Yocto 1.7.3 right now.
I am really excited to see what you got.
Would like to hear more about how you are using the cameras in your projects.
email me sometime Mike.jr@freightsnap.com
@Graugans Just wanted to reach out again about libo3d3xx on yocto
Sorry for the delay. I am very busy to get the next camera generation up and running.
-DUBUNTU_VERSION:STRING=14.04
.I can assist you in creating such a layer but I think I will not find the time to create one at the weekend.
I would love to use this library on the Intel edison. The problem is that there are certain packages that I cannot find with opkg. opkg does not have packages LIB_glog LIB_xmlrpc_clientxx LIB_xmlrpcxx
these are all named differently with apt-get but they are non existent for opkg.
is this possible to use libo3d3xx on Yocto or am I wasting my time.
