Getting Libo3d3xx on Yocto

I would love to use this library on the Intel edison. The problem is that there are certain packages that I cannot find with opkg. opkg does not have packages LIB_glog LIB_xmlrpc_clientxx LIB_xmlrpcxx

these are all named differently with apt-get but they are non existent for opkg.

is this possible to use libo3d3xx on Yocto or am I wasting my time.

You should speak with @graugans He builds libo3d3xx using the yocto tools for the embedded builds that ship on-board the O3D camera itself. He is very knowledgeable/skilled and quite a friendly guy :)

To answer your questions directly: YES it is possible. Are you wasting your time? Not sure, @graugans already has this working, however, I am not sure how much of his work he is in position to share. Oh, I bet @cfreundl can help too.

Sorry for the delay. I am very busy to get the next camera generation up and running.

• libo3d3xx recipes
• libxmlrpc We do use the OpenCV in version 3. You might have to select the build for version 2.x in the file libo3d3xx.inc this can be achieved by setting -DUBUNTU_VERSION:STRING=14.04.
• The PCL lib, libflann and libeigen are borrowed from meta-ros It depends on your Yocto knowledge maybe it is worth to create an own meta-o3 layer which contains all the needed libs. Are there any special layers like meta-ros you are using?

I can assist you in creating such a layer but I think I will not find the time to create one at the weekend.
