A group blog. Should anyone (not just moderators) be allowed to submit posts?

Share (and tweet) interesting new works. Every new work?

There could be a form to submit interesting works published this year.

IFDB is, I believe, meant to be a site with a certain focus separate from other sites run by IFTF (like intfiction.org, ifcomp.org, or ifarchive.org). Blogging seems like a function that has a lot of overlap with intfiction.org

This suggestion actually might be useful for intfiction.org's moderators, as that forum already has a spot for people to announce works, so it might be useful to have a twitter account for sending out new announcements.

IFTF itself has a blog; we cross-posted our announcement that we're going to adopt IFDB there.

I have picked up ifdb_org on Twitter, just in case. (Twitter doesn't allow registering four-letter user names any more, so we can't claim ifdb.)

Can members of ifdb post to the IFTF blog?

qdacsvx commented 3 years ago

ifdb should have a blog. if comp has a blog.

There could be interviews with authors. Trailers for upcoming works. Reviewers could be invited to share their best review. Advocacy for new policy or suggestions. Reviews of Top 100 works. Discussion of editing policy. Appeals for (development) help or funds.
