An article field on the games page for users to post where in the game they are currently playing and what they are doing. These articles could be archived, or just live.

I'm not sure I understand this. Would it just be a link in the upper-right next to all of the other links (downloads, hints, etc.)? Or would it be something different?

live-blogging reading is a Good Reads feature. I forget if it's on the book page or the user page. It would be a text area where you would share updates. On GR all the updates are kept so you can read/follow someone's progress as they read.
