Input File Type #2

Hi there, Can you tell me what file type is expected by read_file? I'm guessing it's a video format, but so far I've not been able to get anything to work properly..

After digging a bit more, I see that the input files are a generic .DAT format. Can you provide an example to make reverse engineering a bit easier?

I am trying to use this algorithm with 2D static images taken form a camera for beam quality measurements as part of a DIY wavefront sensor.
