cannot open app, where is it?

Hey @ooopscc, I cannot reproduce this bug. Could you try to launch the app with wifi disabled? Sometimes the app behaves strange when the wifi connection is slow.

You can find the log files under '~/Library/Logs/iGlance'. If there are any log files you can upload them here. This would help me to further investigate the issue.

Confirmed. It works when Wi-Fi disabled. That's weird.

Glad the issue was resolved. I am not quite sure why this happens and I don't know how to investigate this issue. One possibility is that somehow Sparkle is causing this issue while trying to check for a new version. But I am not sure about this theory. If anyone has some further info why this could be happening feel free to share here.

I just noticed that this also happens for other apps. For me Microsoft Word is also not opening when having a really slow internet connection. Nevertheless I will leave this issue open. Maybe others have additional information on how we could fix this.

Happened to me and workaround was to disable wifi. I am on Big Sur.
