I do not know if there is any radar system that works with unpolarized light.
I always find either single-pol or dual-pol radars, I have the feeling that unpolarized receivers are either impossible or impractical to build.
Doesn't it make more sense to switch to HH, which I have the feeling is by far the most popular single-pol configuration?
It doesn't make any difference for zenith/nadir looking or for spherical-like targets. but for scanning radars, tmatrix calculations with non-spherical shapes it does
