Evaluate the app name #80

It would be good to evaluate the application name before we request an icon.

I don't think that "News" is terrible, but I have had some reports that it has been misleading - that it sounds like a live news app, rather than a feed reader. We could consider changing the name to something that more clearly emphasises the identity of the app.

I personally feel that "Reader" or "Feed Reader" might be clearer.

because one of RFEs was about Google Activities integration I think it would be News rather than Feed Reader.

$0.02: I don't like GNOME Reader, because I would assume that is an ebook app.

GNOME Feeds would work, but maybe too technical?

We had a discussion about the name on GNOME Wiki too: https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/Apps/Potential/News#Discussion

I like "News", but if I wore to change the name, I'd propose "Feed Reader" as well.

so, as we discussed in IRC with @allanday, we won't change name. It's hard for search engines, but it's really NEWS, not FEED READER.
