"New Project | Erlang" not available in PyCharm #511

According to this project's README.md file:

Erlang Plugin turns IntelliJ IDEA and other IntelliJ-based products (RubyMine, PyCharm, WebStorm, etc.) to a convenient Erlang IDE.

However when I install version 0.5.9 in PyCharm 4.0 I don't get an option to create a new Erlang Project. Installing the plugin in IntelliJ 14.0.1 does give me that option. Is there a way to get the New Erlang Project option in PyCharm as well?

Create New Project (PyCharm 4.0): Create New Project (PyCharm 4.0)

Create New Project | Plugin-specific (PyCharm 4.0): Create New Project | Plugin-specific (PyCharm 4.0)

Create New Project (Intellij 14.0.1): Create New Project (Intellij 14.0.1)

Will be fixed after reworking PyCharm core (hopefully next spring). Please see/watch https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-14577
