Improve the English Translation of Solemnity Titles #27

Closed mkasberg closed 6 years ago

mkasberg commented 6 years ago

Several solemnities had somewhat strange phrasing for their English titles. E.g. "Octave Day of Christmas, of Mary, Mother of God". This commit improves the titles to more closely match the text used in the English translation of the liturgy of the hours. In some cases, it is impossible to match the formatting (since we are limited to plain text), so we make minor changes where appropriate.

This fixes #26.

I changed more in this commit than I originally thought I would. Once I started reading through en.yml, I noticed a few other small inconsistencies. The changes I made match "Shorter Christian Prayer" (the 4-week psalter of the liturgy of the hours) quite closely.

I'm certainly happy to make a commit changing only the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, or to make amendments to this commit based on any feedback. Let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks. As already mentioned in #26 , I was only able to use proper official sources for the Czech calendars, so this proof-reading against (US?) liturgical books is most welcome.

Merging.

@mkasberg I finally released version 0.6.0 including your contribution and updated http://calapi.inadiutorium.cz/ to use it. Thanks again.
