Contacts filter text box input is broken #206

If I start writing anything on the "Filter" box right over the My contacts list on the left column, the text shows here in this very place I'm writing this message.

It was caused by a request to auto-select the chat textarea on the first character typed, but the CSS element selector is not accurate enough.
