iam having this issue i don't know what can be the problem "Timeout while trying to fetch archived messages. Retry" #222

I am having same issue with Pade 1.6.6 with local storage set or indexedDB Any clue or recomendation to fix this ?

This error looks like an issue with Openfire Monitoring plugin. Is it installed and working out. I cannot replicate this error on my dev PC.

I have updated https://github.com/igniterealtime/openfire-pade-plugin/releases/tag/v0.9.12-snapshot with latest version of pade plugin version 1.6.7

Also try and avoid indexedDB. It is very, much slower than localStorage. Only use it if 5MB limit of localStorage becomes an issue.

The problem exist on my instance https://www.free-solutions.org Feel free to check user admin pass %%dele_de... as usual Console URL is : https://www.free-solutions.org:7091/ Monitoring plugin is 2.01 The only difference with pade.chat is openfire 4.60 while you run 4.51 for pade.chat I did implement a server for 360biz everything is working fine except this message and users appreciate very much Padé. So if i can fix this one, would be perfect

If this is the cause i could go back to 4.52 or wait for a fix in 4.60 if it helps this future release

Thanks for your reply, i will try out Padé latest and do database settings as recommended. I have provided an access to an environement with the problem if this could help analysis

I will try with the latest Padé an tell you if i found any progress. If not i could roll back to OF 4.52. I have enough servers so i can easily tests these options and let you know, i will I leave current version padé version in place tonite till 10 or 11pm

I suggest you stay with 4.5 2. 4.60 is not ready for production

Dele,

With release 4.5.2 i have another very problematic issue. Ofmeet plugin does not show up in the console until i remove the ofmeet folder entirely and i restart OF no clue why. This is problematic as i need to change several file in the /ofmeet folder. With 4.6 this problem does not occur :(

If you have any hint about this it would greatly help. That's why i decide to go to 4.6

Hi Claude, I use the upload feature of Openfire and that works all the time on all versions  The ofmeet.jar file is a zip file. I suggest you unzip and edit the file outside of Openfire and use zip command to create a new zip file and then upload to Openfire without restarting. That is what I do. That's what i did. But unless a drop the ofmeet folder and restart OF OFMEET tab does not show up. Maybe it is caused by the roll back, i am using same DB. I am now rebuilding a customized jar of course it ease customisation redeploiements Thanks a lot for hints and clues. I will stay with 4.6.0 for now. Monitoring plugin issue will probably be fixed and it is not a big issue. 4.6.0 beta has the same "Retry" problem, i ve tried it if this could help analysis. 4.5.2 seems to be fine with tests i did so far so ww have a solution if needed BTW geolocalisation, PWA is working fine with these versions

Thank you for reporting this. https://deleolajide.github.io/pade/ has now been upgraded from 1.6.2 to 1.6.8. Please test again whenever you can and reopen if it is still an issue
