Rather than defining Yet Another Syntax for header field values, how about: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-reschke-http-jfv-00

Now that we've split the single CH header into multiple, the syntax is...

Doesn't get much simpler. Don't think we need to complicate things any further? Also, as an aside, while JSON is cool, what happened to saving bytes in headers? That proposal adds a lot of those.

Julian's syntax allows simple numeric values; see the example in 6.1. That said, Julian's draft is still a thought experiment, so I wouldn't block on it; closing.
