I don't really have a problem with pressing r when I listen to a song but maybe some people really need this. It would idd be hard to detect if it is music. Your solution would work some of the times, it can idd be implemented but even if there is a "max duration of song" setting to set the minutes/seconds. Some youtube videos are 5 minutes and some songs are 6 minutes so it would not be a flawless solution but then again if you don't have a problem with that that it could be implemented for the people that want it(not sure how much demand there is). But that is just my take on it :D .
for youtube it would be simple, youtube will often specify below the description if the video is a song.
but, it will be different for every site, introducing this feature will introduce many custom code for every site that may have music.
I wouldn't like this feature at all, so if it's implemented, please make it an option, off by default.
Hello everyone!
One of the great feature of this extensions is that it remembers the previous playback speed. The problem pops up when someone is listening to songs, because listening to 1.5x it's not a great idea.
It would be an amazing feature if the extension could detect a song and set a speed of 1x, and for the remaining video the other one that is usually used. A good way to approximate it that is easy to realize, is creating an option in the settings that allows you to specify the speed that is used for videos whose duration is less than x minutes and y seconds.
What do you think?
