on pluralsight.com, only works if you refresh the page on every single video

Did you try the master? Some pluralsight errors have been fixed but not published to Chrome store.

@avrohom1 You can sideload extensions in chrome without using the store for the tutorial please see https://github.com/igrigorik/videospeed/issues/731#issuecomment-735287877
