Video Speed Controller Issue on School Website #861

Issue started a few days ago (~5), video speed no longer changes on the Canvas website (that my school uses--though I'm unable to identify the source of the website) through use of the extension. Icon still shows up on top left of screen, but most other actions no longer work. Still works on YouTube (haven't tried other websites). A lot of the students at my school use this extension to study, so I know there's a lot of people who would be grateful to you for a fix on this. Thank you!

I can concur, since my semester started in late August I could not use this feature on Canvass last week. I thought it may have been Canvass, but the last update came out on August 24th so it seems its a development issue.

Also I removed the app in an attempt to reinstall it to see if it fixed it and it turns out my school google account has blocked access to the google webstore so now I can't get the extension back on that account.

Will also say that this past week (9-11 through 9-17) I could still use the extension's interface to speed up video, now even that feature is no longer working on Canvass today. I hope the it gets fixed, but at least it served me very well the past year and a half while classes where online and recorded. Thank you very much.

not sure if you use the same but maybe check out https://github.com/igrigorik/videospeed/issues/857 if it doesn't work not sure how to help until there is a url outsides can test on about your school blocking the web store. maybe try to sideload it? downloading it from github and installing it manually.
