I have read on how to install, but when i go to the directory it gives me this 500 error. I have tried to make my pc online but the same error. It does not go to install using wampp server.

igweze commented 4 years ago

@codelena, did you edit code before installation? or there's a problem with the server or file system that's powering your xampp. Thanks

@igweze ,can the next version have admission processing using scratch card and please can I change only the template but I'll not change any of your signature

Hi Igweze,

Let me first congratulate you for creating this beautiful app. I have taken a look at the demo and must admit its a great system. I thought of giving it a try by installing it on our hosted site. Managed to upload the files to our public_html folder and pointed the website to the domain to commence install. I have gone past stage 1 to 3 but the installation wont go past step 3 (75%).

Did i miss anything during the install process? am i supposed to change anything other than manually creating the database? Perhaps i should mention that i upload version 1.2 of your project coz thats what seems to work with my version of php. Your latest project says it can only work with php 7.0.8 or lower. My version is 7.3.18.

Thank you for your passion.

@tembo88 Thanks so much for the compliment.

You can go to your Cpanel and change you PHP version to the desired version. Go to Multi PHPManager in your Cpanel to update this. Thanks

tembo88 commented 4 years ago

@igweze Thanks for your response. I was able to change my php version and it installed successfully. Still trying to explore the features.

Thank you once again.

@tembo88 you are highly welcome

Feel free to explore and report any bug/s here.

I was able to download and install on our hosting account. I used the manual method to populate the database. Now I can log in as the administrator. The left menu is there, but all of the menu options only show the spinning cube. No forms show up in the main window to input data. I have tried with PHP 5.6, which is supported. I can tell the database is working properly because I was able to successfully login. There are 186 tables in the database. I have tried with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Any ideas? image

tembo88 commented 4 years ago

@ph27 and @igweze same here. All the menu options show but none working, just the spinning cube. I tried reinstalling it just to be certain i didn't make a mistake first time but facing the same problem. I am able to log in quite alright but the log out option doesn't work. I have tried with Firefox, chrome and Microsoft edge, same issue.

igweze commented 4 years ago

@ph27 & @tembo88 Sorry about that. Please kindly allow the page to load (Page Script) properly or use the refresh button to refresh the page, its might be due to bad network or maybe the some scripts didn't load properly.

I'm expecting your feedbacks. Thanks

ph27 commented 4 years ago

Thank you for your reply. I have tried many things to get it to work - waiting, reloading, reinstalling. It seems that something is not working from a fresh install, but I am committed to helping find the issue. @igweze, are you able to complete a fresh install from the current version? If so, can you please provide me details on how exactly you do it? It doesn't have to be pretty or anything. Once I get it installed, I intend to write an installation guide for you.

ph27 commented 4 years ago

Interestingly, I was able to successfully install on a local XAMPP installation, but installing to the hosting provider resulted in the above problem. Same web browser and same client. Hoping to uncover some meaningful difference.

XAMPP: Apache 2.4.38 MariaDB 10.1.38 PHP 5.6.40

Hosting: Apache (unknown version) MariaDB 10.3.23 PHP 5.6.40

ph27 commented 4 years ago

Sorry to keep posting - hopefully this helps someone out there.

I was able to get it working by installing on a different web hosting account.

It worked for me on bluehost and locally using XAMPP.

It didn't work using namecheap's web hosting, but I don't know why.

tembo88 commented 4 years ago

That's great! Am hosting mine one Bluehost, not sure why it is still failing to work. When i activated the web developer's console, i noticed there was a 404 error on each menu option i clicked, and Jquery-3.4.1 min js highlighted as the culprit. This certainly means my site is failing to load scripts properly.

@tembo88 that sounds like an error I encountered when I was installing originally. It happened because I had neglected to move my .htaccess file along with the other files. I hadn't realized that when I did: mv * /new/path that the .htaccess file was not included in the move. It caused an error similar to yours. Please verify that your .htaccess file is in the root directory of your web server.

As for my issue on namecheap hosting, my only guess is that a similar issue happened to me there. Perhaps the namecheap hosting is not using apache, or not respecting the .htaccess file? Maybe I'll figure it out at some point. In the meantime, I believe my issue is resolved and it was on my side, not due to wizgrade. :)

@ph27 That makes sense. I decided to re-download the files and did a fresh installation. Can confirm that the installation was successful and everything is working fine. Must have been an error on my end when moving the files, my bad.

@ph27 @tembo88

Sorry for replying this late, had a timing project to complete.

Glad to know everything is working fine

Best Regards

igweze commented 3 years ago

@jamal4sabr, when you imported the SQL file, Did you complete the wizard installation process ?. If not what was the error message you encounter ?.

The final installation wasn't successful, your admin details, table and some file configuration were not properly installed.

Waiting for your response

jamal4sabr commented 3 years ago

There was no error message, it remained on 75% for over 15mins, so i refreshed.

Omoseni commented 2 years ago
