@kusala9
A paper has been submitted to the S-101PT12 meeting to identify which S-101 attributes should be suppressed. Obviously test datasets can only be created once the edition 2.0.0 Feature Catalogue is available in line with S-100 5.2.0.
That said this paper may provide relevant examples.
This should be added to S-98 Annex C at C-15.2.1 as another section stating that attributes (or sub-attributes) which are defined as publicVisibility or protectedVisiblity (in S100_FC_AttributeVisiblity) should be contained within Pick Reports.
protected visibiltiy is defined by product specification but from an ECDIS point of view this is not implementable as it is not defined in the FC.
The default (if unspecified) is public.
OEM could also allow users to toggle protected visibility as a feature but that's not an S-98 issue....?
@kusala9 agree and assume that an S-164 test should also be included to cover this. Would you like me to raise an issue in the S-164 Repo?
thanks, yes please. I will draft the words in S-98 Annex C for review.
S100WG8 approved the inclusion of visibility for all feature catalogue items. This will allow a binding in a FC to be marked as private, the intention is that this will suppress portrayal of such attributes in pick reports. The ECDIS behaviour needs to be specified in S-98 Annex C once defined.
