That's a big news. Lots of open source teams including us use gitter on a regular basis so this step can be super awesome for us. I, for one, haven't ever liked its interface. It's slow. Hopefully, someone will step up and fix it now.

They are also adding a feature topics to ask and answer questions like SO which IMO will be good. 😄
