When moving between units, it is not clear which topic a user is in anymore so it would be good to help orient the user with regards to where they are.
Maybe a small toast that says, you are now in the "so and so" topic, maybe informing about how to get back to the topic the user was in ("Click the Home icon and click on History" or something)?
