IINA 1.3.2 - Subtitles borders are fatter and mushier than previous versions (shadow added ?) #4517

Open Kergariou opened 1 year ago

Kergariou commented 1 year ago

Expected behavior: When a font is selected for subtitles without any border, no border is added and the border is thin.

Actual behavior: When a font is selected for subtitles without any border, a fat and mushy border is added. IINA 1 3 1 IINA 1 3 2

Steps to reproduce:

How often does this happen?

There are many different types of subtitles. Have a look at this list of subtitle formats from Wikipedia.

What format of subtitle is being used in this case?

Are these subtitles embedded in the video file, or are they in an external file?

If they are in an external file, what is the file extension? That should indicate the subtitle format.

Hi, Thanks for your quick answer. The subtitles are SubRib ones ("srt" extension), with UTF-8 encoding. The point is that this is the same setup which is used in both IINA (1.3.1 and 1.3.2), and the result is not the same, as you can see on the screenshots. Best regards

Reproduced. Thank you for reporting this!

From my testing…

IINA 1.3.1:

issue-4517 1 3 1

IINA 1.3.2:

issue-4517 1 3 2

Will need to look into this.
