Please add an option to always display subtitles in preferred languages, if available. Thank you for considering this feature request, and have a great day! 2024-11-14 at 23 17

I'm confused. IINA will display subtitles if it finds them. The Auto Load setting at the top of the panel shown controls whether IINA will look for subtitles. Can you say more about when IINA is not showing subtitles?

I understand that IINA can locate subtitles automatically, but it does not enable them by default. Each time I open a media file, I have to manually turn on the subtitles, either through the menu bar or the side panel. Adding an option to always display subtitles in my preferred language would streamline this process and save the extra steps. Thank you

IINA does enable them by default. When I open a video it finds the subtitle file, loads it, selects it and displays the subtitles. I'm not sure why that is not happening for you.
