Explore / brainstorm ideas to improve the UI (hopefully with minimum impact on development and plugins etc)? @jonatkins

Issues for potential improvement of IITC UI (subject to user feedback on desirability & developer feedback on Feasibility):

Many plugins with various interface styles taking up a lot of screen real estate.
Actions are not easy to distinguish from information.
Importance and grouping of information not always clear.
UI content is not easily recognizable.
etc

I think that Ingress Intel Total Conversion should first get Total Refactoring for such huge changes to be possible.

Errrmmmm ... above are just a list of issues, no improvement or changes / suggestions are mentioned yet, but it might be worth while to see if there are some (minor?) changes that might already help with some of these issues?

@OnkelTem I think a public discussion about some changes is quite useful. Like Antje said, what can be picked up is a total different story. Since most are UI driven, some stuff (like 3rd party integration stories) could be added additionally without affecting any functionality. Topics like Layer Chooser (e.g. grouping, coloring, etc) or "Integration hubs" (left button panel like drawtools or portal dialog addons (like drawtool options etc).

@tthiery I'm not an IITC developer, so I can't estimate the efforts of implementing any from above. It was sorta arrogant outburst after several hours of learning IITC code. Sorry.

Can this issue be closed? It's more than 2 years old, and brainstorming should really be in the G+ community, not the bug database.
