deploying a mod does not count as visit anymore #1083

The unique plugin counts an installed mod as unique visit, but Niantic changed this in the last few months. It no longer increments the explorer badge.

The remaining actions, which increment the counter:

  1. hacking the portal,
  2. deploying a resonator,
  3. upgrading a resonator,
  4. linking from the portal,
  5. capturing the portal.

As far as I know installing a mod never counted as a unique visit, but ok..

Of course it did, for at least a year. I confirmed it working in July. It is even implemented this way in the uniques plugin: https://github.com/jonatkins/ingress-intel-total-conversion/blob/master/plugins/uniques.user.js#L67
