Does IITC open too many connections at once? #229

Seems like with the latest release the number of concurrent connections has jumped to > 40. Except now with any amount of heavy usage (dragging around and zooming a lot) it dies with FAILED errors because of the rate limit on the server. I have to wait for a while, or disable IITC to use intel again. This has been happening a lot lately.
