I can't reproduce this in either Chrome or Firefox
I can reproduce this when I do zoom-in and a zoom-out in Chrome, after pressing a key however the text gets back to the correct position. Be sure to have a zoom level of 100%
I've found a way to reproduce: load ingress.com/intel, -> Your cursor is in faction chat input box -> Enter 'öäü' without sending -> change to the public chat window -> the bottom part of 'öäü' is gone.
Actually it's allways gone, no matter what you input. But I also had this change by just typing into the chat window: looking away and the font baseline is lowered.
doesn't happen here... I used alt codes to enter such characters.
Ok, I now noticed that chrome saves the zoom level and opens the page the next time in the sam ezoom level. So it only happens with zoomlevel!=100%...
Would it be possible to make it work with zoom levels < 100%?
Probably not, @JanSchulz. Zoom levels are completely browser side as far as I know. If they're not displaying things correctly at certain zoom levels, it's a browser bug, not IITC.
Sometimes (50% of the time) the chat input box scrolls down for about a third of the input hight and the text becomes difficult to read:
