Chrome OS now has a credibly good Linux develop environment option through the Crostini project.
Count me among Chrome OS users who are using with an external keyboard and are interested in implementing the functionality of Chrome's custom top row of keys on an external keyboard.
It would be fun to the Chrome OS key glyphs included as options. They are open source and available here:

The SVGs are just text. They could be copy/pasted from the pages there.
A number of similar to media icons, but at least is unique, the "Overview" icon. The "Full screen" and "Context menu" icon are also perhaps unique.
