Got 7 of these tablets. All have the same issue with audio - it's completely unstable. The speaker sooner or later is gonna produce whinning/cracking sound. Fix: add
options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=2
options sound_sof sof_debug=1
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf Also if you don't use hdmi sound and want to get rid of "analog output" entry in sound output selection menu also add
blacklist snd_hdmi_lpe_audio
to the same file and reboot.
Hi, I just want to mention my experience with this tablet and Ubuntu 24.04.
Audio and scaling work out of the box, but it seems that audio is only output on the left channel. I don't know if it is a driver issue or broken hardware (I bought this tablet as used and refurbished).
Firefox works now fine with touch and I will use it because of the add-ons like ublock or DarkReader.
Fractional scaling also works ootb. I set scaling to 150% which works good for me.
Vanilla Gnome packages are broken because of Pulsaudio. Default Gnome uses Pipewire, Vanilla Gnome uses Pulsaudio. To install Vanilla you need to install Pulsaudio first. I stick with the default for now.
